Hearing Aids
At North Central Hearing Associates, we treat each patient like a member of our own family. Our comprehensive hearing evaluations utilize a series of tests to accurately diagnose and treat your symptoms; we’ll take the time to thoroughly explain the details of your appointment. We always try to offer a variety of solutions to empower our patients to make the treatment choices that best meet their needs. Having an in-person evaluation is crucial to make a proper diagnosis but if you still aren’t sure about coming in, you can also take our quick one-minute online hearing test now!
Before your appointment, a complete medical history will be completed. Also, the audiologist will want to know about your current and past hearing issues. There will be special attention paid to any concerns you have about exposure to noise, tinnitus, and balance problems. During the evaluation, it will take approximately 30 to 40 minutes to complete. There will also be time for discussion with the audiologist to review test results after the evaluation.
Please, feel free to ask questions at the end of the evaluation process as well! Also, do not hesitate to bring a family member with you to the evaluation appointment. Having someone with you can help with understanding and remembering the information and recommendations given. Additionally, they can share their observations and concerns about how you are responding from a hearing standpoint. The diagnostic hearing evaluation is a good chance to establish a relationship with your audiologist. Above all, do not be afraid to ask questions. You will want to be clear on any information you receive so that you can be an active participant in finding hearing solutions that work best for you and your lifestyle.
